Our volunteers are dedicated and come from a wide range of backgrounds and skills but are united in a common goal to give wild animals a voice. We are always looking for more volunteers to support us.

As a charity, we are continually fundraising to keep up with our running costs and to enable us to improve our service. We are always looking for new ways to generate funds; we attend many events and always need help. This would be a home-based role with office support, attending events mainly at weekends and holidays. If you are organised and enjoy meeting people then please get in touch.

School groups and talks

Are you confident in front of a group of people? Why not help us with our educational program by helping with our talks. We receive many requests throughout the year from local schools and community organisations who would like to know more about wildlife and the Save Me Trust.

Local Co-ordinators

The Save Me Trust is keen to develop local supporter groups that will bring together like minded people on a city, county or regional basis. The groups would operate within their area attending shows and events to hand out leaflets and information and to fundraise to support Save Me’s work. The groups would be supported by Save Me, ideally by a volunteer co-ordinator who would develop the network.

National Co-ordinator

Someone with plenty of energy and drive who will take on enquiries from volunteers and look to establish a regional network of groups across the UK and possibly beyond. Set up a volunteer recruitment campaign to support Save Me’s work. Set up fundraising and merchandise sales. Work from home with visits to Save Me HQ in Surrey.

Local Group Co-ordinators

Working with the National co-ordinator to set up and deliver a local group within your city, county or region. To book and attend a range of shows within the area and co-ordinate all volunteering and fundraising activities. This would be a home based role.

Shows & Events

There are many different shows and events. Some are very local, others regional and a few larger shows and events take place around the country. This is ideal for those with less free time but who want to help wildlife. You will be notified of events by a co-ordinator for your area and will agree which ones you can attend. You will need to be confident, approachable and happy to discuss a wide range of wildlife issues with the general public. Experience of selling merchandise or memberships would be an advantage. Various locations within your local area.

Lush volunteers

We are fortunate to have a very good relationship with Lush UK who are happy for our volunteers to attend their local Lush stores by agreement. This can be on behalf of Save Me Trust, Team Badger or Team Fox. Some of the stores allow us to run events with them - this has to be pre-arranged. Many stores have charities they support and it's not always possible to choose that store. We will make all the arrangements and send the leaflets to enable you to campaign within the stores. Please do not contact your local Lush store directly. Lush stores nationwide.

Volunteer speakers

We need people who are experienced in public speaking to speak at universities, colleges, schools and local events on behalf of Save Me Trust. Save Me have a range of talks to support individual campaigns that can be linked towards particular interests of local education, community or business groups. This could be daytime, evenings or weekends.

Social Media volunteers

Save Me runs a number of Facebook and Twitter accounts that support our core work and specific campaigns. We are particularly interested in people with experience in commercial social media work and the use of Hootsuite. This role is home based.
