Groups we support
We at SAVE ME offer our support to the makers of the new film “A Minority Pastime”.
A preview of the film is soon to be screened in David Cameron's constituency of Witney, and there will be a Press launch in London on 27th April, with the official launch also in London on Tuesday 4th May.
The film is based around video footage gathered from Hunt Monitors, and shows deeply disturbing scenes of violent and callous behaviour in various forms from members of the fox-hunting fraternity. Some of the most upsetting moments are glimpses of cruelty and disregard for the hounds themselves, as well as the abuse of foxes which is the focus of the whole event. The timing is of course very relevant, as the election approaches. The film will shock many people who were not aware of the extreme nature of the Hunt's activities, and not aware of David Cameron's intimate connection with this minority group; as such it's an important context for forming an overview of the coming choices in the election.

I help in a small way with Willows Animal Sanctuary in NE Scotland where my friends the Robinson family have around 300 rescue animals. Visit our group on Facebook. With many caring for unwanted animals & in great need of financial support, we as a country could do more for our animal friends. If you & others could share the link & or write to the BBC there is every reason we could get this to happen. Thanks. - Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue

The Blue Fox Group are the founders of www.conservativesagainstfoxhunting.com which exists in the Conservative sphere to point out to unaware Conservatives who don't realise, that a repeal of the Hunting Act 2004 is a real possibility. We are another spoke of the anti hunting wheel, of which we are all driving forward to alert the public. We are often unpopular, sometimes scorned on both sides (apart from by the informed few) - unwelcome by some of the anti hunting community since we have Conservative connections and unwanted and viewed with suspicion by a minority of the Conservatives since we are constantly trying to raise awareness on an issue they want to keep quiet... but we hope that we help to get the message across to the Conservative politicians and public that the majority of the party supporters are against a repeal to reintroduce hunting with dogs which is presently illegal and deemed cruel. - Chris Gale
If you want to be updated daily on happenings in the world of TRYING TO STOP FOX-HUNTING, I'd recommend putting yourself on Chris Gale's E-mailing list. You will be in good company. He's dedicated, thorough, and incredibly well-informed. A true gentleman, and passionate advocate for animals. Visit his website and hook up. Fight the good fight!! Nomatter how things go on polling day, the campaign does not end on 6th May. We are in for the long haul, to win decent treatment for all creatures.
