FARMERS WEEKLY
Consultation on Welsh badger cull enters final hours
16 December 200

Farmers in Wales [CORRECTION: ANYONE can respond] have just one day left to respond to the Welsh Assembly’s consultation on implementing a badger cull to control bovine TB. The deadline for submissions is Friday 17 December.

Farm leaders have been keen to encourage as many farmers as possible to respond to the consultation to avoid anti-cull campaigners dominating the issue.

They argue that it is important that producers make their views known to the Welsh Assembly as it is they who are directly affected by TB and are on the front line in the battle against the disease.
